Attorney Jacob G. Blackstone has been chosen to coordinate the Midwestern Regional Rounds of the Phillip C. Jessup Moot Court Competition. The competition will be held in Chicago on February 9-12, 2012. Competing teams include 24 different law schools from as far away as North Carolina and Alabama. Attorneys from near and far will join to judge the oral rounds and written submissions. Also in attendance will be professors from many of those schools, along with honored guest speakers. Judges for the event will include “the Father of International Criminal Law”, nobel prize nominee M. Cherif Bassiouni.
At the competition, students from each school will compete for the right to advance to the World Championship Rounds. The Championship Rounds will be held in March and will feature regional round winners from around the world.
At Gordon A. Etzler & Associates, LLP, we pride ourselves on our continuing involvement in the community and the legal world. This is yet another example of how our attorneys are leading the way for not only our clients, but for soon-to-be lawyers around the world.
