Anna Christodoulakis

Anna Valparaiso LawyerAnna Christodoulakis was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. After graduating with honors from Chesterton High School in 2004, Anna chose to attend Valparaiso University where she earned a major in Political Science concentrating in both International Relations and Legal Studies, and a minor in Art History. At Valparaiso University, Anna was active in various Honor’s Societies including Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Gamma Mu Academic Honor Society, Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, and Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society. At Valparaiso University, Anna also had her first experience in a judicial setting as first a representative of the University Judicial Board and then later as the University Judicial Board Coordinator. Anna graduated from Valparaiso University summa cum laude in 2008.

 

In the fall of 2008, Anna began her legal studies at DePaul University College of Law in Chicago Illinois. While at DePaul, Anna was very active in various law student organizations such as the Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Anna also served as the treasurer of the Hellenic Law Student Association and as secretary of the Business and Corporate Law Society. Anna graduated from DePaul University College of Law in May of 2011 with a Juris Doctor degree. Anna took the Indiana Bar Exam in July of 2011 and was admitted to practice law in the state of Indiana on October 14, 2011. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.

 

In addition to her education, Anna has also garnered legal experience working in various courts in Northwest Indiana as either a court intern or a clerk. In 2007, Anna served as the Civil Court Intern for the Merrillville Town Court of Judge George C. Paras, covering Small Claims cases. In 2008, Anna rejoined the Merrillville Town Court as a Criminal Misdemeanor and Traffic Court Intern. In 2009, Anna served as a Civil Court Intern in the Lake County Clerk’s Office under Clerk Thomas Philpot where she assisted parties in filing protective orders, prepared complaints for service, and generally maintained the court case filing system. In 2010, Anna served as a clerk in the Lake County Circuit Court in which she conducted research and drafted memos for Judge Lorenzo Arredondo, Magistrate Richard F. McDevitt, and Magistrate Cheryl Williamson.
